A healthy orange beef recipe with a zesty flare, this weeknight dinner is a unique variation of traditional beef stir fry.
Although I had nothing against cooking when I was younger, it wasnāt until I got married 8.5 years ago that I truly began to appreciate the flavor and beauty of fresh and wholesome foods.
Over the last several years Iāve realized that certain flavors pair wonderfully together. One of these flavors is citrus and meat, more specifically orange and beef.
Stir fry dinners are a simple and healthy way to get in a variety of colorful veggies and a solid source of protein. For this recipe I decided to scale down on the veggie variety to make the orange flavor the star of the show. Flavorfully cooked ground sirloin (or ground beef) and brightly colored broccoli and carrots are drizzled with a delicious orange sriracha sauce.
You may choose to serve this over top of cauliflower rice (for Paleo and Whole30) or brown rice for a nice well rounded meal! Additionally you may swap out the broccoli for green beans if you choose.

How To Make Orange Beef
Begin by heating up your pan over medium heat and add in the ground sirloin. Chop up your carrots and broccoli and set aside. After cooking for a few minutes, drain your beef and add in onion powder, garlic powder, and fresh ginger. Once the beef is fully cooked through add in the orange zest, juice, red pepper flakes, and coconut aminos. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
Simmer on low to allow the flavors to soak in. While your beef is simmering, steam your vegetables. A steamer basket is easiest for this. (If your vegetable pieces are uniform and small this should only take around 3 minutes).
Next make your sriracha mayo by combining all of the mayo ingredients together and stirring well. Once the vegetables are steamed add them to the pan with the beef and stir well. Serve over cauliflower rice or brown rice and top with a drizzle of mayo and sprinkle of cilantro!
Orange Sriracha Sauce
The sauce is truly the highlight of this dish. Please donāt leave it out! The spiciness level is completely up to you. When I make this recipe Iāll initially add less sriracha to the mayo mixture for my kiddos to enjoy and then add in the full amount for my husband and I. Feel free to even add a drizzle of plain sriracha sauce to top off your meal if youād like an extra kick!
