A quick and easy Dandy Blend mocha frappe recipe that’s both healthy and delicious.
A few months ago I was introduced to an herbal tea blend made from dandelion and chicory root that tastes surprisingly like coffee, with no brewing needed! Although, I typically prefer a cup of tea over coffee I do enjoy a tasty mocha frappe from time to time and decided to experiment with this new herbal beverage.
Dandy Blend Mocha Frappe
Dandy Blend is a finely ground soluble powder made of roasted barley extracts, roasted rye extracts, roasted dandelion root extracts, and roasted chicory root extracts. It easily dissolves into hot or cold drinks and contains no caffeine, but does have naturally occurring trace minerals which may cause a burst of energy in some people (like me!). Iād recommend starting out only drinking this in the morning to see how your body reacts.

Dandy Blend Frappe Mocha Recipe
To make this healthy Dandy Blend Mocha Frappe simply gather up your ingredients. Then pour your nut milk of choice into a high powered blender, add the remaining ingredients, and blend until smooth.
Serves 1
Ingredients
- 8 oz nut milk ( I like unsweetened almond milk best)
- 1 medium to large frozen banana (please note that it must be frozen to ensure the proper consistency)
- 1 TBSP cacao powder
- 1 TBSP dandy blend
- 1 scoop Naked Nutrition vanilla pea protein (optional, but highly recommended!)
- Cacao nibs (optional)
Directions
- Pour milk in a blender
- Add the rest of ingredients and blend together until smooth
- Top with optional sprinkle of cacao nibs and enjoy!
