Cilantro Lime Tuna Salad
This simple cilantro line tuna salad recipe contains only 7 ingredients and comes together in less than 5 minutes. There is, however, one special ingredient that you wonāt want to substitute- Mrs. Dash Table Blend!
I discovered this delicious herb seasoning while cooking on vacation and have since used it as a flavor enhancer in several dishes (even on top of baked potatoes!). Iāve tried substituting this ingredient with a few other more simple herbs and spices that everyone likely has on hand, but keep coming back to the Table Blend. It’s a popular brand and easily found in most grocery stores.
The recipe below is for 4-6 servings. First gather up your ingredients and prep your veggies- chop avocado, slice grape tomatoes. Zest your lime and roughly chop the cilantro. In a large bowl add the albacore tuna fish and mix in the mayonnaise (I love Sir Kensingtonās classic mayo!), seasoning blend, and salt. Then add in the remaining ingredients and stir well to coat evenly.
How should I eat the cilantro lime tuna salad?
Although I do enjoy eating this straight out of the bowl, Iād also suggest trying these options to change it up from time to time:
- Lettuce wraps- Bibb and romaine lettuce both have large leaves that are perfect for lettuce wraps!
- Crackers- This tuna salad pairs well with some crunchy crackers- Maryās Gone Crackerās and Simple Mills are a few of my favorite GF options.
- Tortilla wraps- You may want to try Siete brand cassava flour or almond flour wraps. Load them up with some mixed greens, large tomato slices, and a nice helping of the cilantro lime tuna salad.
- Avocado boat- Instead of chopping up the avocado and mixing it into the salad you could opt for halving an avocado and placing the tuna salad on top. Then simply scoop out and enjoy.
